Pastor: Paula Murray

Paula is a native of the West, born in Montana and raised in Idaho. She is a graduate of the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho, the University of California, Santa Barbara, California, and the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Pastor says of her call to ministry, “I was ten years old when the Holy Spirit called me to the Altar and the Pulpit. Pastor means “shepherd”, and while it took some time to act on the call and have that call validated by the Church, it has been an honor and a blessing to serve our Lord as one of His under shepherds.”
Pastor is married to Henry Stuckert and they have two adult sons, Adam and Ian Stuckert. Pastor likes to spend time with family and friends, read, write books people will probably never read as it seems unlikely they will ever be finished, cook, draw, and talk about Jesus.
Deacon: Lisa Severn

Lisa is blessed to call Glen Rock her home for almost 40 years and was happy to find a spiritual home at St. Jacobs in December 2019. Serving the congregation as a Eucharistic Minister and Deacon-in-Training has helped her to grow deeper in her faith and care for St. Jacobs’ family and our neighbors. She and her husband Mark have been married for 40 years and have a daughter, Katie, who lives in Philadelphia. In her spare time she enjoys gardening; especially growing flowers and reading.
Deacon: Matthew McMahon

Grew up on his family’s farm just a few miles away from Glen Rock in Freeland, MD. He and his family have lived in Glen Rock since 2006 and joined the St Jacob’s family soon after. Matt has served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister and became one of our Congregational Deacons in 2024. He and his wife Leah have 3 children, Andrew, Bridget, and Colette. In his free time, Matt enjoys woodworking, photography, and grilling/smoking meals for his family.
