Welcome and thank you for your visit.
We are delighted that you want to visit our church. We do want to make that visit as comfortable as possible, and we know that you may have questions about our church. We hope you will find the information you need on these pages. If not, please feel free to contact us by email or phone and speak with Pastor Paula Murray or Leah McMahon about our church. It is our goal to do all we can to make you feel welcome at St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church, and to share with you the love of Jesus Christ.
When you arrive on Sunday morning, the parking lot is in the front of the church and easily accessible. Please enter through the large glass doors under the portico. The Sanctuary is to your immediate left. A visitor table is to your right, and includes a variety of information about our church and faith. Please sign our book, and accept a gift bag from us which includes some of that information on our church. If you don’t remember where you last saw your Bible or have never had one, please take one of the Bibles on the visitor table home with you as our gift. Restrooms are also to your right, down the hallway through the double doors and to your left. You may hang your coat in that hallway or step into one of the offices to introduce yourself.
Our nursery is also in that hallway, and you will want to drop in even if you don’t have a toddler just to look at the wonderful mural of Noah’s Ark painted by local artist Pat Isch and members of this congregation. Our Sunday School rooms are at the end of the hall. Please check with the ushers at the door, and they will get you to the right place. We have Sunday School classes for adults as well as children.
When it is time for worship, bulletin and announcements are available from the ushers, or the basket at the door. Feel free to take a seat wherever you like in the Sanctuary. If you have a question or a need, please ask.
